The muddy footprint of a T. Rex becomes a puddle, and in that puddle a tadpole grows. Tadpole Rex was one of eight dinosaur books selected for The Great Big Dinosaur Treasury, an anthology.

Where did this book idea come from?

Tadpole Rex got starred reviews from School Library Journal and Kirkus, and made Oprah's Reading List for Kids as well as the Children's Book of the Month Club. It was published by Harcourt in 2008. These are my first digital illustrations.
